Poplar Hill is a rustic, elegant barn wedding venue on the border of Orchard Park and East Aurora, NY. Built in the early 1900s and lovingly preserved ever since, Poplar Hill has been family-owned for generations and bringing couples together since 2017. Situated on 35 acres of natural woodlands, manicured lawns and flower beds, our venue gives you unparalleled space, privacy and flexibility so you can create your own world on your wedding day. Our Venue
Our Carriage House serves as an inviting, comfortable start to your wedding day. The dressing room boasts full-length mirrors, salon chairs and a wall-length vanity, and the rest of the suite features a living room, full bath, kitchen, patio, and gas fire pit on the front lawn. And yes, it is air-conditioned!
The groom’s party can get ready and unwind in the Groom's Den, a lounge for their exclusive use. The space features a half-bath, bar, dartboard, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and walkout to a private back patio with ample seating and a wood-burning fire pit.
We focus your wedding ceremony around an exposed wood post-and-beam arbor and can seat up to 200 guests on white vinyl padded chairs. You can customize the arbor decoration and wedding aisle to best suit your choice of gown, veil, and even couples walking side-by-side.
For your reception dinner, we offer a 2400 sq. ft. high-top tent with in-house professional lighting, handmade Amish farm tables and cross-back chairs, optional windowed wall curtains for inclement weather, and tabletop décor including ivory runners, bud vases, table numbers, and votive candles.
The Barn serves as the heart of your reception. Over 3000 sq. ft. in area, the entire interior of the barn retains its original woodwork and showcases our in-house professional lighting, uplights, string lights along the rafters, and a 40" disco ball. The barn accommodates the dance floor, hayloft lounges, three-sided bar, prep kitchen, bistro tables, display hutch, bathrooms, and balcony.
The three haylofts offer crucial rain insurance and let you step away from the dance floor while still feeling social and connected. They also provide a unique bird’s-eye view for photographers and partygoers alike. Your guests can enjoy foosball, cornhole, and you can add any other activities you would like your them to enjoy.
Our 35 acres of manicured lawns, flower beds, pine groves, and natural woodlands grant you and your guests plenty of space, privacy, photo opportunities, and places to relax. In particular, the rose gardens, front mansion steps, and swing sets are perennial favorites for bridal party and couples’ portraits. Our lawn games, fire pits, and outdoor seating areas create an atmosphere of play and celebration.
